I’m Sammie and I have been a practicing LMC midwife in Canterbury since 2018.

I work alongside the wonderful midwives at Birth Journey Midwives where we each provide care from conception through to 5-6 weeks after the birth of your baby and share a similar philosophy of supporting normal, physiological birth.

I am passionate about the rewarding work I do and I believe that pregnancy and childbirth is a normal, yet significant life event and I support women and their whānau to make empowering decisions for them and their baby.

I support women to birth where they feel most comfortable but I have a strong focus on home and primary unit birthing and utilise these often.

I am married to my wonderful husband and have 2 teenage sons and a step daughter where we live on the East side of Christchurch.
